Benefits
This press enables print providers to deliver high-end colour jobs with speed, versatility and consistency. The high resolution means fine lines, smooth gradients and vivid output – ideal for premium marketing collateral, catalogs, brochures and variable data runs. The broad media compatibility (including textured card, metallic stock and long sheets) means fewer restrictions and more creative freedom. The support for finishing workflows and the long-sheet capability allow services such as banners, oversized inserts or specialised formats. Combined with automation and front-end workflow integration, the Pro C7200 helps streamline production and reduce manual setup, improving turnaround and cost-efficiency.
Designer / Production Tips
When designing for the Pro C7200, ensure you specify any special media early—especially textured stocks or metallics—so the correct paper profile and paper library settings are engaged. For long-sheet or duplex long-sheet jobs, confirm the sheet length and orientation within job spec, especially when using banner or custom formats. Although rated speed is high (85 ppm), if you use heavier or specialty media (closer to 360 gsm) expect some speed variation and build that into job planning. For variable data, mixed sizes or special finishing (e.g., perfect binding, multi-fold, square-back booklets), coordinate with finishing teams so the sheet dimensions, bleed allowances and job nests align with the finishing path. Lastly, attention to colour management is important — the 2400 × 4800 dpi engine gives you offset-like output, so artwork should be prepared accordingly (high-res images, good trap, specialist stock allowances) to get the most from the press.
