Durst P5350

The P5 350 is a sophisticated hybrid large-format UV LED printer designed for both roll and rigid board media up to 3.5 m wide. It offers industry-leading versatility by switching quickly between board and roll, supporting heavy media, dual-roll operation and high productivity modes. It is built for print suppliers needing one machine that handles everyday signage, display work, corrugated and premium applications in one platform.

Key Specifications

Print width: up to 3,500 mm (roll or board)

Maximum productivity: up to approx. 708 m²/h in the high-speed variant (standard ~330 m²/h)

Drop size: 7 picoliters

Resolution: up to 900 × 1,200 dpi (also 700 × 1,200 dpi)

Colour channels: up to 8 (or more in upgraded configurations)

Media handling: Hybrid roll + board; dual-roll option (1625 mm each)

LED UV curing technology

Benefits

The machine combines exceptional throughput with wide media flexibility, meaning print providers can consolidate workflows, avoid having separate roll-only and board-only devices, and still maintain premium quality. The LED UV curing ensures compatibility with sensitive substrates, lower heat stress, energy savings and faster turnaround. Rapid media change, automatic width/thickness detection and configuration enhancements reduce downtime and boost effective production hours. With options like dual-roll and multitrack board printing, the system is also suited for high-volume, multi-job environments.

Designer / Production Tips

When preparing artwork for the P5 350, be aware that although high speed is possible, quality modes may run slower; plan accordingly for jobs requiring fine detail, heavy substrate thickness or special finishes. For roll-to-roll or dual-roll jobs, specify edge registration, material width and roll weights up front to ensure smooth loading and avoid material handling issues. If designing for rigid board work, make sure the boards fall within the width and thickness limits and consider that foldable roll tables and dual-track feeding are features that support fast job changeovers. When special effects (such as white under-print, varnish or heavy stocks) are required, these should be indicated clearly to pre-press so the correct channels and ink configurations are used.
